Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This month is dedicated to increasing awareness of breast cancer issues, especially the importance of preventive screening and early detection.
According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women aside from skin cancer. When breast cancer is detected early and treated promptly, suffering and ultimately the loss of life can be significantly reduced.
